Just one short month ago, my bestie Liz and I were packing up my car and heading on a road trip. While FaceTiming one night, we decided it was about time we took a little vacation together and a road trip at the beginning of March seemed like the perfect idea. We headed to Lexington, KY as our first stop. We planned to hang with my friend David (FOLLOW THIS MAN!) at Daily Offerings and then explore from there. Lexington might have been my favorite city for the sole reason that the day went down like this:
1. Coffee with David 2. Donuts with David 3. Ice cream for lunch with David 4. Coffee with David 5. Liquid chocolate with David.
Then we hopped in the car and headed to Nashville, TN. All the while belting out great music out of tune.
We stayed in two Airbnb's that were the dreamiest places to wake up in. Liz and I woke up at 8am in our first Nashville Airbnb and immediately started taking pictures - no makeup and all, we were too stoked with the beautiful light to waste any time.
The next day was spent exploring, just the two of us, eating donuts and stopping on the side of the road to take photos.
While driving to our second Airbnb we got stuck in some heavy traffic which ended up being 100 percent okay with us because we pulled the car over and shot for 45 minutes in a cool parking lot. Changed outfits in the car and everything - do it for the white wall, they say. And by they I do mean I say.
The next day in Nashville was pretty banging as well. We woke up in another perfect Airbnb and snapped photos of each other until about 15 minutes before we had to head out and meet our friend Evyn for coffee at Crema! After we had coffee we spent some time exploring and shooting. Check out Evyn’s music! He is rad.
This trip with Liz was truly life changing and I don’t say that lightly. We laughed and cried and talked Jesus and took 4,000 photos and explored new cities together and drank coffee and laughed some more. I honestly am so grateful that we could spend this trip together, bonding and growing deeper in our friendship. This woman is gold. Pure and absolute gold and I’m ridiculously lucky to call her one of my best friends.
